GEOFF LOCKWOOD
Chairman
Geoff is an entrepreneur and investor.
Prior to Patchwork Brands, Geoff spent 30 years in the EU and USA as an accountant and financial consultant. He began his career as an accountant at Coopers & Lybrand in the UK and then USA working with companies such as Johnson & Johnson before moving on to finance leadership roles for various telecoms industry game changers.
Geoff relentlessly seeks out founder-led British brands with a passion for challenging their industry. Geoff invests across sectors and regions with personal investments in UK, USA and South Africa.
KEVIN GRANT
CEO
Kevin is the founding co-partner of Patchwork Brands.
Hailing from Bloemfontein South Africa, Kevin moved to London in 1999 following the completion of his BCompt degree at the University of the Free State. Kevin met long term business partner Geoff Lockwood while at First National Telecom Services.
Through this relationship, their partnership began with a management buyout of the Wavecrest telecom’s UK’s retail business in 2008, completing the further purchase of the Wavecrest UK assets in 2019.
Kevin is supported by a fantastic wife and two beautiful daughters.
He is a founding Trustee of the Our Shoes Charity and keen Care Leaver mentor with Goal17 and Surrey County Council. Having played hockey with some success over the past 35 years, Kevin is currently a proud member of the Surbiton Hockey Club Spartican Team.
ALAN WELSH
CFO
Prior to joining Patchwork Brands, Alan’s experience gained during his time in the City of London as VP at Barclays Capital, VP at Bank of America Merryll Lynch and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young in South Africa (where he is originally from) led him to a solid history of consulting in global telecoms working with the co-founders of Patchwork Brands for 12 years.
Alan has led with impact the finance teams for telecoms game changers Moblox, Globecom and FNT Logistics.
Now leading the financial and investment strategy at Patchwork, Alan brings his varied sector experience across all of Patchwork’s brands.
JEMMA HARDY
CPP
Jemma is a Chartered MCIPD member and holds an Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management. As our Chief of Staff, Jemma is responsible for the day to day rhythm of the group, she’s focussed on problem solving, fixing group issues and supporting the leadership team whilst program managing wider tasks and leading some of our key business initiatives.
Originally from the Isle of Wight, Jemma has 18+ years’ experience under her belt working within the high tech, retail, telco and CaaS spaces as a HR/People professional.
Jemma supported organisations such as Mimecast and more recently in her role as VP of HR for Voxbone helping drive the €446 million euros sale of the business to Bandwidth Inc. She is an expert at developing business & human capital strategies, through organisational & leadership structuring and mentorship. This has allowed the organisations she has supported to achieve their strategic, people and financial goals and expand into new territories throughout Europe, Asia and the US through both organic growth and M&A activities.
